Tooth Whitening

If your teeth are stained or dull in color, tooth whitening is a great solution to dramatically whiten your smile.

We will create plastic whitening trays from models of your teeth. You will put a special whitening gel in each tray and wear the trays in your mouth for up to several hours each day, depending on what we suggest and what works with your schedule. In four to six weeks, you will usually be able to see a significant change in tooth color.

Accelerated whitening is another option that works very well for some patients. This process can give you whiter, brighter teeth in just one office visit. Please consult with us to see if this may be an option for you.

Occasionally, teeth may be stained in a way that limits the effectiveness of tooth whitening. Porcelain laminates or crowns are an excellent alternative in those cases.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic Bonding can restore chipped teeth and fill gaps between teeth. It can be used to smooth out rough or jagged edges on front teeth, and it can correct stained or dull colored teeth in cases where teeth whitening is not an option.
Composite resin is a white, tooth colored material that we can shade to match your teeth. This material is applied to your teeth and carefully sculpted to cover or replace the problem area. The material bonds to the surface of your teeth like a glue. The end result is that you will have a natural, beautiful improvement in your smile.

Bonding is initially less expensive than porcelain veneers. After several years, it does tend to break down and discolor though, and it will therefore need to be replaced. For this reason, porcelain restorations are usually more cost effective over time.

Porcelain bridges and crowns

In the General Dentistry section, we explain how bridges and crowns are used to protect decayed and fractured teeth or replace missing teeth. They can prevent future dental problems, solve chronic pain issues, and keep your mouth healthy.

In addition to that, porcelain bridges and crowns are also used for cosmetic reasons so that you can maintain your beautiful smile.
